The Hackney Town Hall is a wonderful venue complete with period features that help it retain a classic feel despite its renovations.
The venue spaces at Hackney Town Hall are predominantly run by the Hackney Venues group; a private events company. But you do have the option of getting married in the Lanchester and Lodge Suites which is operated by the council and is a smaller and more affordable option.

If you’re just looking for a smaller registry office ceremony venue to get married in, you have the Lanchester and Lodge Suites to pick from.
This room is a more affordable option to get married at Hackney Town Hall and is run by the council and not Hackney Venues.

North & South Atriums
Both the North and South Atriums are large, airy rooms, with exposed brick walls and high ceilings. Their glass roofs allow for plenty of natural light and give an alfresco feel to any dining situation.

Council Chamber
Perfect for a stand alone ceremony, the Council Chamber still features its original oak wood panelling. With seating arranged in a semi circle around the room, none of your guests will be more than a few rows away, giving everybody the perfect view of the happy couple.

The Bridgetown Bar, located just next to the Assembly Rooms, is available only on an exclusive access basis when booked with the Assembly Rooms and has a capacity of 40 people standing. It makes a great space for guests to relax later on in the evening.

The Hackney Venues team, who are in charge of events at the Town Hall, have three other venues in the surrounding area. This includes the Stoke Newington Town Hall, Clissold House and The Glass House, a recently opened venue.
There’s also The Old Parish Hall at Core Clapton which isn’t too far and is a brilliant ‘blank canvas’ venue, that you can decorate however you like to suit your wedding style
