I was raised by a single mom, so there are only a handful of photographs of the two of us together when I was younger.
This is why I’m so passionate about family sessions. Let’s get some photographs of your whole family together!

My family of 11 traveled to Scotland for holiday from the US, and found Micaela online. She handled all the personalities in our group effortlessly and put us all at ease. The poses she put us in, the candid shots she captured, the flexibility and comfortability, she was able to do so many separate combinations of our big group, and I can’t say enough about how wonderful the session was. They were the most breathtaking shots. It brought tears to my eyes. So grateful to stumble upon Micaela, and I will cherish these photos forever.

This was especially impressive because there were 4 kids between 2 and 6 years old in the group!

I live in Kinross, Scotland with my husband, our twin boys and our cat, Maggie. We’re homebodies that love to settle in for the weekend with a board game and homemade pizza.
When we’re not doing that, we’re probably planning a family hike or reading our twin boys a storybook.

CHILD-LED PHOTOGRAPHY
You’ll get photographs of all of you together, different combinations and different locations. Your kids showing me their favourite toys, playing a game together, going on an adventure in your back garden or reading a book as a family.
There’s so much more to your family than just one quick photo. So let’s capture that!
DOCUMENTARY FAMILY SESSIONS
I specialise in documentary family photography sessions. This means no studio, no lights, no stiff poses.
I’ll come over to your home or your local park, join your holiday and meet you and your kids and get to know you as a family while I snap away.

We can start at home and follow the course of a lovely day together. Or I can join you on your exploration of Scotland if you’re here on a holiday.

The Adventure Session

Let’s go adventuring in the Highlands. Whether it’s Glencoe, Loch Lomond or the Cairngorms – let’s capture your family in some epic Scottish scenery.
1 – 2 HOURS OF COVERAGE
Depending on the location, we could explore up to two different areas outdoors. This is a laidback session, where we leave plenty of time for you to explore your surroundings and let you or your kids really take it all in.

TRAVEL
My travel up to 3 hours from Edinburgh is included. (You will need to arrange your own travel.)
The Family Album
£ 545
A simple snapshot of your family, with a combination of some posed, and some candid photos. Suitable for a location or home-based shoot of up to 8 family members.
1 HOUR OF COVERAGE
We could meet at home, have your kids show me around, or let you spend some time with your new baby.
Or if you’re visiting Edinburgh, we could meet up in the city and capture your family holiday.
Either way, we keep things relaxed, laid back and child-led.

The Kinross Mini

Since it’s my local neck of the woods, we can meet up for a quick mini shoot at either your home, the loch or the park.
30 – 45 MINUTES OF COVERAGE
This is perfect for a quick capture of some semi-posed group & individual photos, with different combinations. Perfect for Christmas cards, back to school photos or just a memory with visiting family.
