DULWICH COLLEGE WEDDING VENUE

If you’re looking for grandeur, impressive buildings, and expansive grounds – you can’t beat Dulwich College for your South East London wedding

Whether you choose to just have your ceremony at the Old Library, or your wedding in the ornate Great Hall, or a laid back reception at the Pavilion Salle, Dulwich College has so much to offer for your London wedding.

THE OLD LIBRARY DULWICH COLLEGE WEDDING CEREMONY

You’re able to hire just the Old Library for your wedding ceremony at Dulwich College if you’d like.

You could always head off to a second venue in South East London for your reception, like 100 Barrington or the Rosendale Pub

But if you’d like to be in one spot all day, you’ve got the option of hosting your reception in The Great Hall or the Pavilion Salle at Dulwich College.

The Old Library (right at the side entrance of the school) is where your licensed ceremony can take place. A registrar from Southwark Council will be able to legally marry you in the venue.

Your ceremony venue hire comes with 2 hours access included if you’re wanting to decorate the venue ahead of time, use the grounds for photos, or have a drinks reception on site.

THE GREAT HALL WEDDING RECEPTION AT DULWICH COLLEGE

The Great Hall (which is part of the Barry Buildings at the college) is a truly breathtaking location for your wedding reception. Truly enormous, the great hall can hold up to 240 people seated for a meal, and your guests can listen to your speeches, and watch you cut your cake with the amazing stained glass windows as your backdrop.

You can also host your drinks reception out the front of the Barry Buildings, where your guests can enjoy the sunshine in summer while marvelling at how incredibly impressive the architecture is at the college.

PAVILION SALLE WEDDING RECEPTION AT DULWICH COLLEGE

If you’re looking for something a little bit more intimate at the college, you could have your wedding reception at the Pavilion Salle at the far end of the grounds. Surrounded by green space with an amazing view of the grand college, the Pavilion Salle has a more relaxed feel than the Great Hall.

The building is self contained, has a mid century colonial feel, comes with a balcony and can even be combined with a marquee if you’re looking to have your meal outdoors.

DULWICH COLLEGE WEDDING PRICES

There are three package options at Dulwich College each with different options.

As a rough guide, for a two course buffet menu, you’re looking at £80 per person. If you add in a couple drinks, and a 3 course fine dining dinner, it’s £125 per person, and if you go wild with a 5 course fine dining menu, it’s £195 per person.

If you’re looking to just hold your ceremony at the Old Library, that starts at £800.

DULWICH COLLEGE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

There are NO shortage of locations and backgrounds for your wedding photography at Dulwich College. Every time I’m there, I spot new and interesting spots to take photos.

Family photos can be done with a nature background, or the college buildings. And for your couples photos, we can explore the building indoors, use the grounds and the ancient trees, have the Barry Buildings as a backdrop or use the modern school buildings for something altogether different.

No matter which way you turn – you’re going to end up with something gorgeous.
