St Dunstan’s in the East Wedding

Planning a St Dunstan’s in the East Wedding? Thinking about eloping in London?
Well, would you get engaged and married on the same day? That’s exactly what happened at Zack & Colleen’s wedding at St Dunstan’s in the East.
Colleen always knew that she didn’t want to be engaged for long, and had always hoped that she’d get proposed to, AND married on the same day. And Zack totally delivered, and they had an incredible London elopement at one of London’s most iconic & magical locations – St Dunstan’s in the East.
London Elopement Spots
There are so many incredible licensed, and unlicensed spots where you could say your ‘I dos’ in London, and if you’re looking for somewhere completely unique, and magical, right in the very heart of London – St Dunstan’s is an incredible spot. Very popular with tourists, Zack & Colleen took up space in a corner of the ruins & got married by a humanist celebrant.
Since the wedding was a complete surprise to Colleen – Zack organised everything. Since they’re not local – they didn’t have any family present – but instead incorporated their family throughout the ceremony, and had their wedding party there for support. And Zack organised every single thing (including hiring me!), except for Colleen’s dress, which he left up to her bridesmaids.
Getting married in Central London meant that after their ceremony, Zack, Colleen & I could wander the streets looking for interesting spots to take photographs, and we even headed down to the Thames for ultra iconic London vibes.
Can you get married anywhere in London?
If you’re having a legal ceremony separate to your wedding or elopement – then yes! St Dunstan’s is a publicly available venue, so it’s open to the public. You might want to hire a humanist celebrant, like Zack & Colleen did.
