ASHLEY WOOD FARM WEDDING VENUE
Surrounded by acres of the Fonthill Estate in Wiltshire, is Ashley Wood Farm.
A rustic and seemingly remote (although only minutes away from the A303), this venue has a few large barns, an outdoor area (with a view), a courtyard and accommodation.
GETTING MARRIED AT ASHLEY WOOD BARN
Ashley Wood Barn has a couple of great locations you can use for your wedding. There are two large barns, the main barn which has a capacity of 150 people for seated dining.
The courtyard and garden area are perfect for mingling, canapés and drinks. You could even have a food truck set up in the courtyard for late night snacking while the main barn gets ready for the late night dancing.
Ashley Wood Barn is licensed for civil ceremonies on site, so you would be able to be married by a local registry office on site.
Alternatively, you could get married at a local church, or have a humanist celebrant or friend conduct your non-legal wedding ceremony.
YOUR WEDDING RECEPTION AT ASHLEY WOOD BARN
A couple of useful bits of information to note – Ashley Wood Barn only have one wedding a week, keeping things calm and relaxed for you in terms of set up and take down.
You can use whichever suppliers you’d like – including caterers.
They’re a dry-hire venue, which means you need to organise all decor, but included in your hire fee are all tables, chairs, hay bales and fire pits.
They don’t charge any corkage, so you’re welcome to bring your own alcohol for the bar too!
Your hire fee includes a two bedroom house on site which is a great spot for you to get ready in, the morning of your wedding.
ASHLEY WOOD FARM WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Because Ashley Wood Farm is part of the Fonthill Estate, you can use parts of the estate for your wedding photography.
But if you don’t want to venture that far out, you’ve got plenty to work with right on site.
Not only do you have the views of the lake, but you have the gardens out the back of the barn, and the courtyard which is especially beautiful at night with the fairy lights.
