A Summer Grove House Roehampton Wedding

A Sweet & Simple Wedding at Grove House Roehampton

Helen & James got married at Grove House Roehampton after a wonderful ceremony at St Marks’ Battersea Church where they said their vows surrounded by their community. They followed it up with a reception at Grove House Roehampton, a Grade II listed Georgian wedding venue in South London.

During their church ceremony, James’ sister in law (who introduced them) described them as wonderfully down to earth, authentic people who found their way to each other. And this is exactly what I experienced when I spent the day doing their wedding photography. James, ever charming and wildly entertaining brought the house down with his speech! And Helen, kind, caring and smart, ignored all traditions that didn’t feel right for her and created a wedding that was full of community, heart and celebration.

They wanted a shorter couples’ session on the day, so we wandered through the gardens at Grove House Roehampton, keeping things close by which gave them a chance to relax, connect and take it all in. Afterwards their reception had some of the most enjoyable and crowd-pleasing speeches full of in-jokes that left every group of family and friends present feeling included.
