SOANE GALLERY

The legendary design of Sir John Soane’s for Dulwich Picture Gallery has become a historical architectural inspiration worldwide. There are eight suites that have been perfectly structured to interconnect and create an impressive enfilade.

The Gallery is not only renowned for its majestic interiors that have some of the most treasured Old Master paintings hanging from the deep red walls, but also for the sophisticated Victorian elegance. This space is perfect for a wedding breakfast as well as drinks and canape reception. It’s only licenced for civil ceremonies, which are available at 18.00, Tuesday – Saturday or throughout the day on a Monday when the Gallery is closed to the public.

The capacity for this venue is up to 150 guests for a civil ceremony and 250 guests for a standing reception. Alternatively, 110 guests can be seated at a wedding breakfast.

2. GALLERY CAFE

This contemporary-chic space boasts views of the stunning Gallery gardens. For a cultured and stylish wedding that is a bit more intimate or smaller, this is the ideal venue. There is a stunning extended terrace and the café is catered by skilful chefs at Creative Taste.

This space can host up to 80 guests for a standing drinks reception and up to 50 guests for a seated wedding breakfast.

3. LINBURY ROOM

This space features elegant modern interiors and a refined atmosphere. The expansive white walls make this venue a blank canvas for your unique décor expression. The space is conveniently versatile allowing for a civil ceremony and a dance floor as the night goes on.

The capacity for this venue is up to 120 for a ceremony or for dancing after dinner and up to 50 guests for a seated wedding breakfast. 

4. GALLERY GARDENS

Escape the bustle of the city and enjoy a wedding secluded by the surrounding stretches of peaceful gardens. There is an option between their manicured lawn which positions the aesthetic architecture of the Gallery as a charming backdrop and their secret meadow which is even more exclusive!

Both venues can host up to 400 guests for a standing reception. The lawn hosts up to 200 guests for a seated wedding breakfast and The Meadow hosts up to 400 for a standing reception or a seated wedding breakfast.
